Aloha Drifters

It all begins with an idea.

Welcome to Adrift’s blog. THIS IS A “meet the author” post.

Brief summary here. I’m Florida born, swamp & sea raised. My college life survival kit was peanut butter, a rain jacket and a bottle of gin. It got me straight-A’s up until I dropped out. If I was in a comedy movie, I’d most definitely get hurt. If I was in a horror movie, I’d probably be the monster (I’D volunteer). By age 22, I’ve had maybe six concussions from non-sport related activities. Cliff diving, car-accidents, and a wine bottle to the head to name a few. When I’m not concussed I’m usually out-n-about, here and there, Floridian stuff. Recently, a lot of my time has been spent on adrift, planning and creating things to come. I’d like to really create a lifestyle out of adrift that inspires and connects people. I want it to feel like a safe place, a home away from home. wherever you drift, adrift is with you. Like a remora on a shark, not a leech on a leg like some companies out there.

Adrift is not just a brand. It’s a lifestyle and a message. Our future, no matter how much we plan, is still unknown. The only promises we can keep are the promises we make to ourselves. Nature may change the world around us, but you are your own force of nature. You are your own wave. And because no path is guaranteed, we must embrace the drift. We must find peace in the unknown. And as soon as you do, the “right path” will reveal it was never a path at all.

Keep adrift, drifters.
